Hello! Ciao ! Since my last blog post I recently traveled to Madrid, Spain. Let’s just say I feel in love with the culture, city, and the food. Program is almost near the end and one of my goals before I left Europe was to really see and explore all of Spain. Madrid did not disappoint. Madrid and Barcelona are so different that when you see Spain, you can decide what capital you like more. First thing I did when I arrived, was check out Buen Retiro Park. It was so breathtaking that I walked around the park for about three hours. So beautiful, unique, and full of trees and monuments. Originally, Buen Retiro Park belonged to Spanish Monarchy in the 19th century, and now becoming a public park for people to enjoy and see. I also go the chance to travel to Santiago Bernabeu. Lets just say I almost passed out. I love soccer and well as the players who play for Madrid so it was very surreal moment for me. I unfortunately did not get a chance to do a tour but I did walk around the stadium. Probably the closest thing to Cristiano and James Rodriquez. LOL. After exploring and walking around Madrid, we hit the Christmas Markets, which according to an article, Madrid’s Christmas markets land on top 25 markets to see in the world. I felt very fortunate and blessed to have witnessed it. The lights and the churros was probably the best thing that night. I have some pictures below.. and I hope to post something soon. – xoxo

And I return to blogging…

Hello, Ciao !

It’s been a while since I blogged, many of the reasons why was because of how the slow the internet is in Rome. I came to the conclusion that posting pictures through Instagram became more efficient but today as I came home I realized how much I missed blogging. So as for those that are interested and continue to tell me to blog, my apologies. I blame wifi LOL! My adventures in Rome, believe this past three months has shaped me into a different person… in terms of how more aware I have become, gained more knowledge of things, and become more of an independent person. I get to experience culture, meet new people, eat new foods, take pictures and see things that I would have never imaged seeing. My week break I went to Barcelona, Paris, and Portugal. The best week of my life! Here are some pictures! =D

Second Post: My Perspective

My Roomies are amazing!!!

My Roomies are amazing!!!

CIAO!! As I promised, I wanted to take some time to write on my perspective of Rome, Italy. Since I’ve been here I have seen and experienced the most amazing things. Many of things that I found amazing and interesting is the amount of history and culture each building has. I feel like there is so much to learn and so little time to do so. My plan while I’m here is to explore and really dig deeper to each place I visit even if it means talking to a local or just asking questions at school about it. I love Rome, the people, the culture, and of course the food…. I mean like I cannot complain! The best part of traveling is the people you meet along the way. I have been blessed with the most amazing roomies ever which makes this experience much better. I can write so much…but for now, here are some pictures of my recent days in Rome. Hope you enjoy and talk you soon xo

Wherever you Go, Go with All Your Heart

I wanted to take sometime to post something before I embark my journey to Rome, Italy. I still find it kind of amusing and crazy when I say I’m leaving to Europe, because since I was little girl, Europe has always been my number one destination. I feel beyond blessed and more than anything thankful for what God has done in my life. Sometimes I have to stop and just thank God for everything he has done, because without him nothing is possible. John 15:5, 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. Therefore, I would not be where I am without him. As I am very close to leaving, I have packed all my bags, got all paperwork done and tried to practice some italian while I’m at it. I have many emotions running through me, scared, excited, anxious but most importantly happy about this amazing journey that I’m about to take. So far, I am leaving with Hannah and Christina, two awesome girls I meet during the study abroad orientation; crossing fingers I end up being roommates with them =D In terms of classes, most likely when I arrive to Rome, a set schedule will be set and the names of the exact roommates who I will end up with as well. Scary not to know before hand, but then again you can’t have a trip without some surprises in store lol. I leave August 26 and I should arrive there by August 27 by 1:00 PM. Ahhh so close!!

I have so many goals and things that I want to do while I’m abroad. I want to visit France, Germany, Spain, Amsterdam… and the list can go on and on. First things I want to do while I’m in Italy is try some Gelato. My friends, family members, and people who I come across with always tell me it’s just one of those things you have to do before you leave. So definitely looking forward to that. All in all, I can write a long post in here, but I promised myself to keep it short, so therefore I leave this post and hopefully next time I write in here, I will be in ITALY!!!!!!!!! Parliamo più tardi
